Inventor’s Day!

For all of your inventive souls, don’t feel discredited because there is a national holiday honored for your creativity! About two hundred years ago, President George Washington realized that innovation and invention were critical to the wellbeing of America. In honor of this recognition, he effectively advised the First Congress to pass a patent figure, as specifically approved by the U.S. Constitution, and intelligently directed that “there is nothing which can better deserve your patronage than the promotion of science…” In the year of 1970, the initial patent statue started the revolution of the U.S. from an introducer of technology to a global chief in technological invention.

Nowadays, innovators and inventors are the foundation of the technological development which is crucial to the environmental, financial and social welfare of the United States. Individual originality and determination, encouraged by the inducements of the patent system, start the procedure that proceeds in enhanced values of living, improved private and public efficiency, production of fresh industries, better public services and improved competitiveness of U.S. goods in global markets.

To honor the creativity and originality of inventors which have significantly impacted our country, the Congress has selected a day in our calendar, February 11th, to recognize these people. The date was specifically designated in the year of 1983, the anniversary of the day Thomas Edison was born. This day helps to remind us that the United States is ruthless to preserve its worldly place as a leader in technology and invention. The minds of our great inventors are essential ingredients to America’s success.
